Borderland Tees


Borderland is a social enterprise in South Knoxville. They fund our community ministry by our work instead of asking for donations. In the screen-printing business for over 40 years, they serve many local businesses, community groups, churches, non-profits, and sports teams screen-printing t-shirts and other apparel. They make our beautiful Three Rivers Market t-shirts.

Gentry Family Farm


In 2012, Mrs. Gentry fell in love with and married a goat farmer. Growing up around cattle, she wanted to raise animals in a way to become more self sustaining and purchased her first dairy goat. This goat produced about a gallon of milk a day, and not wanting it to go to waste, she began creating lotions and body products. Now with a total of 5 dairy goats now, all registered and very spoiled, they are extremely busy running their little farm.

Great Smoky Mountains Association


Great Smoky Mountains Association supports the perpetual preservation of Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the national park system by promoting greater public understanding and appreciation through education, interpretation, and research. Fortunately for us, part of that mission is realized in beautiful, informative, and engaging books including guide books, novels, cook book, and children’s books.

Hawa Ware


Hawa Ware is a visual artist who offers beautiful, emotionally moving greeting cards. Originally from Liberia, Hawa Ware now lives and creates here in Knoxville, TN.

John Tullock

Author and zoologist John Tullock trained as an ichthyologist but hasn’t limited his writing to fish. His numerous titles cover topics ranging from growing hardy orchids to profitable home-scale farming. We carry his most recent book The New American Homestead. It’s a great resource for folks looking to live more sustainably in the city.

Kelly Brown has a lifetime of climbing experience with over twenty years in the famous Obed Wild and Scenic River. He brings it all to bear in the most comprehensive climbing guide of the Obed published to date, The Obed: A Climber’s Guide to the Wild and Scenic. Full of detailed maps, clearly marked routes, and dynamic photography (by Mark A. Large–also a Knoxville local) this book is a standout in the genre. Best of all the book’s publisher, Greener Grass Publishing, has pledged to donate 5% of all proceeds from this guidebook to the East Tennessee Climbers Coalition, a group dedicated to preserving climbing in the Obed.

Mini Adventure Series


Working as a team authors Elle Colquitt and Jon Livengood combine their passion for bicycling with their technical skills to self-publish guide books for the adventurer. As a graphic designer and photographer, Elle contributes to the book’s layout, design and gallery of pictures while Jon’s mapping and engineering skills create detailed maps explicit to the needs of a bicyclist.



Julie Belcher has an extensive history of graphic design experience. Co-founder of former Yee-Haw Industries, where for years she funneled her creative energy and experience into building a letterpress empire. As a local Knoxville artisan, Julie offers handmade products made with salvaged equipment, recycled paper, re-purposed inks, original imagery, and antique typography.

Quirky Lantern Co


These all natural soy candles are individually crafted and hand-poured. The candles, named after Knoxville neighborhoods, are clean burning and Eco-friendly. With 100% soy wax and 100% cotton wicks, these are also: dye-free, phthalate-free, zinc-free, lead-free. In adorable Mason jars with rustic lids, they look just as great on display when they aren’t burning.

Author and self-described fermentation revivalist Sandor Ellix Katz is on a mission to spread the good word of fermentation to the people. We were lucky enough to host him in July of 2012 and he spoke to a rapt crowd about the benefits of making and eating fermented foods. His first book, Wild Fermentation, includes a thorough introduction to the topic as well as many recipes. His most recent publication, The Art of Fermentation, is a game-changing comprehensive tome that will answer almost any question you might have (and some you didn’t) about fermentation.

Sarah B. Weber


Artist Sarah B. Weber’s love of animals and the natural world is evident in her work. The animals on her greeting cards look back out at the viewer with great interest and humor. Weber paints her subjects– both wild and domesticated– with a generous spirit and deft hand.
