In May, the Three Rivers Market Board of Directors will once again conduct its monthly meeting via video conference due to ongoing Covid-19 precautions. Any member who would like to attend the meeting or address the board during the Member Forum can send a request to the board email: board@threeriversmarket.coop. (General questions or concerns may also be sent to the board via this email.) After next month’s meeting, the approved minutes will be available on the website. As always, we want to hear from members, even without in-person opportunities!
The Three Rivers Market Board of Directors and co-owners continue to be grateful to our General Manager and all of our co-op employees for working so hard to ensure that we have a clean, well-stocked store. We see you all working so diligently to ensure that we have a clean, well-stocked place to gather food and needed supplies. We see your thoughtfulness and innovation. And we see your bravery. Thank you all.

2019 Election Update!
Three Rivers Market seeks Board Candidates who are dedicated to the cooperative and its mission and who understand and will contribute to the task of governance. Desirable qualities include:
Visionary, conceptual thinker – able to envision an alternative future and to put small considerations into a perspective guided by a larger view.
Connected to the ownership – familiar with how owners use the co-op, able to translate owners’ needs into organizational goals, and to communicate progress to owners.
Ability to work as a group – to speak with one voice and to take responsibility for the performance of the Board as a whole.
Accept authority and use it responsibly – accept the importance of the position and be willing to take a stand even if it’s unpopular. Encourage management leadership and judge performance using clear criteria.

It’s Election Season!
Three Rivers Market is seeking qualified candidates to run for a 3-year term on the Board of Directors.
All prospective candidates MUST attend a Board meeting. Thursday, September 12, 2019 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. is the final opportunity to attend a Board meeting before the Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at 9:00 p.m. deadline to submit the Candidate Application Form to election2019@threeriversmarket.coop.
