Principle 6

P6 is a cooperative trade movement named for the 6^th Cooperative Principle: Cooperation among cooperatives. P6 highlights products that contribute more profoundly to a just and sustainable food system. In order for a product to be designated P6, it must satisfy 2 out of 3 P6 criteria. The P6 criteria are:

• Small farm or business
• Local to a P6 grocery co-op
• Cooperatively owned or a non-profit
