Member loans

Please note that you can participate in the Cooperative Loan Campaign only after you have received and reviewed  the Information Statement in detail.  The promissory notes that will represent members’ loans to Three Rivers Market are offered only through the Information Statement.  The promissory notes are offered only to individuals who are Members of Three Rivers Market and who are residents of the State of Tennessee;  the promissory notes are not offered in other states.

Loan Terms

Typically Members can loan $1,000 or more and choose the duration of the loan from 5 to 10 years. Members also choose their interest rate, from 0% to 4% for loans of $1,000 – $9,999 and between 0% and 5% for loans of $10,000 or more. Interest paid will be simple, not compounded.

Loan Considerations

The financial history of Three Rivers Market indicates that we are a successful, enduring, and growing enterprise with an excellent credit rating. Three Rivers Market monitors financial performance carefully. Board and management regularly review statements, track progress and respond to trends. Loans to the Co-op should only be considered by those persons who:

• understand the nature of the risks involved
• can afford to assume such risks
• have adequate financial means to sustain a loss of their loan
• have no need for liquidity in any funds loaned.
