2019 Election Update!
Three Rivers Market seeks Board Candidates who are dedicated to the cooperative and its mission and who understand and will contribute to the task of governance. Desirable qualities include:
Visionary, conceptual thinker – able to envision an alternative future and to put small considerations into a perspective guided by a larger view.
Connected to the ownership – familiar with how owners use the co-op, able to translate owners’ needs into organizational goals, and to communicate progress to owners.
Ability to work as a group – to speak with one voice and to take responsibility for the performance of the Board as a whole.
Accept authority and use it responsibly – accept the importance of the position and be willing to take a stand even if it’s unpopular. Encourage management leadership and judge performance using clear criteria.

It’s Election Season!
Three Rivers Market is seeking qualified candidates to run for a 3-year term on the Board of Directors.
All prospective candidates MUST attend a Board meeting. Thursday, September 12, 2019 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. is the final opportunity to attend a Board meeting before the Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at 9:00 p.m. deadline to submit the Candidate Application Form to election2019@threeriversmarket.coop.

2019 Board of Directors Election – Run for the Board!

Three Rivers Market is seeking qualified candidates to run in the 2019 Board of Directors Election. Serving on the Board is an opportunity to help us create and nourish a healthier environment, healthier people, and a healthier community for our nearly 10,000 co-owners!
Three of the nine seats on the Board are up for election. Each seat has a three-year term.
Governing an organization effectively is a serious commitment. Directors are expected to prepare for and actively participate in monthly Board Meetings, one full-day cooperative board leadership training in North Carolina, and two full-day retreats closer to home. Our Board meetings are efficient in that we stick to the agenda and finish on time. Board leadership training expenses including lodging are covered.

Nourishing Change: August
1st August
In August, we will be collecting change to improve the health of children and their families. Our goal is raise $7,000 to support holistic health and nutrition programs for children and adults in Knoxville’s Latino community through Centro Hispano de East Tennessee.
