Community Food Drive
Join Us in Fighting Hunger with Second Harvest
At Three Rivers Market, we believe food is a human right, not a privilege. That’s why we’re honored to host a Community Food Drive benefiting Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee, and we’re calling on our neighbors to join us in making a difference.
🗓 June 10 – July 4
📍 Drop-off Location: Dining Room at Three Rivers Market
This summer, as we gather for cookouts, family meals, and community events, it’s important to remember that many of our neighbors are struggling to access basic nutrition. Food insecurity affects thousands of East Tennessee families and together, we can help.
💛 What We’re Collecting:
We’re asking for donations of non-perishable foods in jars or cans. Not sure what to bring? Here are some of the most needed items:
- Sauces (like pasta sauce, curry sauce, etc.)
- Canned soups & stews
- Beans (canned or dried)
- Canned fish in oil (sardines, salmon, tuna)
- Peanut butter & nut butters
- Honey
- Other shelf-stable proteins
Every item you donate will go directly to individuals and families served by Second Harvest, a nonprofit that distributes over 19 million meals annually across 18 counties in our region.
🌱 Why This Matters:
Food insecurity doesn’t always look like empty plates. It can look like a parent skipping meals to feed their children, or a senior stretching one meal over two days. By donating shelf-stable foods, you’re giving someone not just nourishment but dignity, energy, and hope.
We know that change happens when communities come together. Whether you’re a longtime shopper or just dropping in for the first time, your donation counts.
🤝 Let’s Fill the Box (and Then Some)
You’ll find our donation box in the dining room, located just inside the store. Donations are being accepted now through July 4th, so come by, drop something off, and help spread the word.
Need help finding donation items in-store? Ask a staff member—we’re happy to point you toward some budget-friendly options.
Together, we can make sure good food reaches everyone who needs it.
Thank you for being a part of this community. Thank you for showing up. And thank you for helping us support Second Harvest in their mission to end hunger in East Tennessee.
